Initiatives

The Body-Worn Camera Collaboration will continue active testing, now in Phase II.  The cameras will improve public safety and officer safety, provide valuable evidence, and improve transparency to the public.

CBRPD was awarded a grant from the Office of Justice Programs and is the lead agency in BWC deployment for Chalfont Borough, Doylestown Borough, New Britain Borough, Lower Southampton Twp., Northampton Twp., Plumstead Twp., Warminster Twp., Warrington Twp., and the Bucks County Sheriff's office.

INITIATIVE

UNDERAGE AND
DANGEROUS DRINKING INITIATIVE

CBRPD regularly conducts Underage and Dangerous Drinking Details under a grant provided for by the PA Liquor Control Board.

The grant is aimed at awareness to the dangers of drinking and to enforce the liquor laws of the State of Pennsylvania.

OPERATION I.D.

CBRPD participates in a property identification program developed to aid in the prevention of crime, and identification of personal property in the event a loss occurs.

Residents of Chalfont, Doylestown, and New Britain Boroughs wishing to participate should come to the station for more information.

POLICE DATA INITIATIVE - Task Force on 21st Century Policing

CBRPD is a participating agency in the Police Data Initiative as part of the Task Force on 21st Century Policing initiatives identified as a means of effective collaboration.  There are only 100 police agencies nationally that participate in this effort.  The PDI is designed to increase transparency and building community trust.

As a commitment toward this effort, CBRPD has agreed to release data sets of information on traffic stops, incidents, proactive police engagements, departmental demographics, internal affairs investigation statistics/outcomes, and mental health incidents.  CLICK HERE for Open Transparency and Data Sets

As a service to our community CBRPD has a Drug Drop-Off Box located in our station lobby at 57 W. Court Street. The lobby hours are M – F, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. If you have any unused, unneeded and/or expired drugs in your home, it’s always best to dispose of them for everyone’s safety. We cannot accept inhalers, liquids or needles.

Chalfont Borough also has a Drug Drop-Off Box located in the lobby of their borough hall at 40 N. Main Street, Chalfont.
