PLCB Grant In Action
CBRPD has begun their Underage and Dangerous Drinking Patrols. Last week, there were over 27 arrests during patrols as a result of using plain clothes personnel and unmarked cars. This was a successful beginning to this very important initiative funded by the PLCB.
CBRPD will be sponsoring a Blood Drive
The Blood Drive will be held in Council Chambers at 57 W. Court Street, Doylestown, on Friday, January 12, 2018 between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please register at redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: central bucks, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment.
CBRPD is using new technology – Officers are equipped with L-Tron Scanners. These devices produce electronic ticketing (eCitation) which is an easier, quicker and more efficient way of completing citations and reports from the patrol vehicle. Driver’s licenses are read by the device and populate the eCitation instantly. Police regionalization continues to provide new technology opportunities like this one.
The Police Commission presented a Merit Commendation to Corporal Keith Dietz at its monthly meeting on November 27, 2017. Corporal Dietz was commended for his involvement in an incident that took place on October 26, 2017 involving suspicious activity on Pine Street in Doylestown Borough. Corporal Dietz’s effort and action resulted in removing a stolen firearm from a dangerous individual who was reaching for it during the police encounter. Suspect was charged and remanded to Bucks County Prison. Corporal Dietz’s actions bring credit and respect to the members of the Central Bucks Regional Police Department and to himself.
